Dr. Robert Maiello received his Doctorate of Medicine from State University of New York, Health Science Center at Brooklyn in 1987. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. He completed a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Kings County Hospital/SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, 1991.

He moved to Florida in 1991 to become the medical director of the Ohme Rehabilitation Center (today known as the TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital) and established a private practice.

  • Provides general physical medicine & rehabilitation care to Lake County residents for over 25 years.
  • Provides Inpatient physiatry (PM & R) care at TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital.
  • Medical Director at TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital.
  • Volunteer Physician for the Mount Dora High School Football Program for since 2001.
  • Has served as a surveyor for the Florida Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Accreditation Program.
  • Assists Acute Rehabilitation Center in maintaining CARF Accreditation.
  • Developed CIMT Program (Constraint Induced Movement Therapy) based on Dr. Taubs’ protocol.
  • Served as medical director for the Florida Elks Children’s Hospital, Pediatric Brain Injury Unit.
