 TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital offers patients a full range of rehabilitation therapies. The following therapies are available to our patients and may be part of the personalized rehab program your physical medicine & rehabilitation physician recommends:


  • Board Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Specialist
    • 25 years of inpatient rehabilitation experience.
    • Will lead a team of providers who will care for you throughout your stay at TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital.
    • Will provide personalized care 7 days a week.


  • Physical Therapy
    • Focus on joint movement, muscle strength, coordination, balance, bed mobility, walking and wheelchair use.
    • Your treatment plan may include exercise, joint mobilization, brace and artificial limb assessment, wheel chair management and propulsion, gait training and other functional activities.


  • Occupational Therapy
    • Helps people re-learn the skills of daily living. The goal is to increase your independence and safety in day to day activities.
    • Areas such as bathing, dressing, housekeeping, work and leisure activities.
    • May work with you in our independent living space, where patients practice everyday activities such as eating and fixing meals.
    • Upper extremity strengthening, coordination, bracing and function.


  • Speech Therapy
    • The evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of communication, cognitive, linguistic and swallowing disorders. Intensive training in their field and are dedicated to patient and family education.


  • Social Services / Case Management
    • A social worker/case manager will work with you, your family, and the acute care team to develop and coordinate your discharge plan, making all of the necessary arrangements for a smooth transition.


  • Psychology & Neuropsychology
    • At TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital, we provide psychological services for patients whenever they are needed. Your medical psychologist will assess the emotional, behavioral and cognitive issues you may face after a significant illness or injury. Psychological care is a critical component of helping you recover.
